Operationalizing Emergecny Plans: Incident Command in Action- POSTPONED

Overview: This course focuses on improving public health and healthcare agencies’ operational readiness to quickly and effectively transition from normal operations to emergency operations using an Incident Command System (ICS) structure, with an emphasis on utilizing existing Emergency Operations Plans (EOP) to guide the overall response. The course provides a hands-on learning environment with a fast-paced practical session involving a simulated scenario based upon actual events that stresses public health and healthcare systems.
Target Audience: Professionals from public health and healthcare including community health centers, EMS, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and emergency management professionals.

High Consequence Infectious Disease Training
This free 8-hour training course is designed to assist front-line healthcare facilities with planning for high consequence infectious diseases (HCIDs), including Ebola and Coronavirus. The course includes guidance and tools for identifying and isolating patients with HCIDs and informing appropriate stakeholders while providing safe and appropriate care.

This three day Incident Command for Mid-Level Management course is designed for supervisory and management level personnel who require advanced knowledge and application of the ICS. Intermediate ICS expands on Basic ICS. It provides more description, and detail of the organization, and operation of the Incident Command System, and the management of resources. It describes the duties of all positions including Air Operations.

Bristol PHEP Coalition TTX- CANCELLED
This TTX focuses on a regional emerging infectious disease requiring the participation of various stakeholders from each municipality.
Participants will utilize tools from their EDS plans, as well as ICS framework, to formulate proper planning and response tactics. The exercise is not a test of each municipality's detailed response procedures, but will emphasize emergency response coordination, resource integration, problem identification and resolution.
